About Ngorli Community Interest Company
Dedicated to empowering children, young people, and families across Watford Borough and Hertfordshire through education, mentorship, and practical community support.
What Does Ngorli Mean?
The word Ngorli (ŋgↄli) originates from the Ewe language spoken in Ghana, Togo, and Benin. It carries a profound and uplifting meaning: "there is hope for the future."
Ngorli was founded in 2017 by Rhoda Amezado to support children and families in the local Watford community. Originally focused on boosting pupils' proficiency and confidence in mathematics and English language, Ngorli quickly recognised that supporting the overall stability and well-being of the family unit is vital for young people to truly flourish.
Our Vision
Our vision is to foster an inclusive community where individuals are empowered to maximize their capabilities, thus paving the way for a fairer, more prosperous, and united society for everyone.
Ngorli CIC aspires to serve as a guiding light of empowerment and assistance in Watford, nurturing an environment characterized by continual learning, personal development, and mutual respect.
Our Mission
Ngorli Community Interest Company empowers individuals through education, mentorship, and comprehensive support services. From structured tuition programs for school-age children to positive mentorship through youth clubs and essential assistance for adults, we foster personal growth to create a brighter future for all.
We believe education extends far beyond formal academics — it encompasses the world around us, life skills, self-belief, and civic contribution.
